What I really wanted to say was that experts in bf are not the reason for the 
problem. The profession has arisen to meet a need - and the fact that there is a 
need has quite a lot more reasons than the existence of a profession.

Medicalization is part of the process, because bf professionals strive to show 
themselves worthy and professional in the eyes of the medical community. Since 
bf is a normal part of the birth and birth is under the jurisdiction of the 
medical community, you must be a professional in "their" way to be recognized as 
such. That could be where the problems could be born - if one has the same 
attitude or must function always in a rush, without the time to sit and listen 
and care because of the same things that make a hospital birth the (lots of 
times truly terrible) experience it is. So it could be "where" bf help happens 
that stands in the way of it being a caring and friendly relationship - but it 
is not the fault of the professionals who must function and strive to do their 
best in such conditions. Some such things can be read in the article as well - 
but still I don't like how the whole article sounds.

I don't really see the way out of this situation - the LLL and ABA model is one 
good way that almost resembles the normal way to learn and thrive breastfeeding, 
but it is these same organizations that the bf professionals are born from. 
Still it is the good way to be born, I think - you really can't forget and 
re-learn the way to listen and talk and care... that should be a standart for 
the bf professional.

Such a deep issue... I am excited at what the far more experienced on the list 
could share on the topic.
