But 4 ounces a week may be just fine. I know I'm often citing this example, 
but my daughter never gained more than 4 ounces a week. It took her almost a 
year to double her birthweight. But she was very healthy, developmentally 
normal (walked at 9 months), and is today completing her Master's degree.

However, if the baby isn't doing well, that's another issue. With the pale 
skin and circles under his eyes, I wonder if allergies are an issue here?
