A mum who I am seeing is going back to full time employment ( in 3 weeks)
when her baby is 8 weeks old. She is exclusively breastfeeding her baby and
wishes to breast feed for as long as possible. She plans to feed before work
and pump the other breast as she feeds. The child minder will give the EBM in
a bottle (mum's informed and final decision) during the morning. Mum will
return home at lunch time to breastfeed and do the same thing, leaving EBM
for the afternoon. She really wants to breastfeed for as long as possible.
Fortunately she lives close enough to work that she can come home during
lunch. There are no facilities to express at work other than the toilet.

Mum is keen to see if this way of feeding her baby will work, how much EBM
to have frozen etc. and also she needs to feel totally confident in the
childminder who will be giving EBM in a bottle. My question is, when would
be a good time to start this way of feeding before going back to work.

As I'm new at this I'd appreciate some thoughts so I can best support this
mum and her baby.
