A local doctor here refuses to write a script for domperidone to assist a Mom
trying to increase her milk production (yes, we've tried everything else!)
because he says, "The drug is so dangerous, it's not even available in the
US." He has no research evidence to share with me, only his opinion. OK,
I've read Hale, Newman, Riordan & Auerbach, and everything else I can find,
including the recent CMAJ article, and no where does it say the drug is
"dangerous".

Does anyone know why the FDA has not yet approved it? Is this a political
thing, or is it still undergoing testing? I know it's approved for use here
and in other countries, and I'd like to know what the FDA's plan for it is.
