Actually, I tell women that unless they are severely deficient in gelatin and petroleum products, they are wasting their time filling their prescriptions for prenatal vitamins. Paying attention to diet is primary. Second would be to add supplements from a food-based source where needed, as most women are too deficient to solve the problem with food during one 9 month period (and frankly, I am not convinced food alone can do it in our highly polluted environment, anyway). Less scrambled, Jay?
