Dear Friends:
    While the new SoP certainly poses challenges and difficulties for us, and 
needs to be revised, there are also IBCLCs out there whose methods are 
causing harm.
    There is no way to control for practitioner quality. Even licensed ones. 
As with all human activity, some practitioners are outstanding and most are 
acceptable. And a few I wouldn't permit to attend my pet. Neither certification 
nor licensure is a guarantee of quality.
