Hi everyone

As usual, I won't be able to give a full history on this babe because I get
phone calls from other people who call me to try to sort things out.

One month old, full term, unmedicated, uneventful (other than the fact he was
born -quite an event) birth. At one month has just regained his birth weight
(yes, I know.)
After latch on OR taking an artificial teat sucks three to four times and
then tongue 'quivers' - this felt when examining finger was in the mouth -
and seen through the soft tissue underside of the chin. then stops sucking.
Spasm of the tongue when bfg? Limbs on the stiff side but I think within
normal limits, cry normal, eyes ok. Baby obviously frustrated because he
ends up 'shut down', shutting his eyes and not nursing at the breast.
Parents have noticed the quiver present since birth but since he's their
first baby didn't have anything to compare with.

I asked about the frenulum, examiner wasn't sure; tongue does cover lower
alveolar ridge when latched-on.

Anyone seen something like this or have any ideas? I'd appreciate it.
