Since the mom had a c/s birth, maybe she had/has some edema in the
nipple/areolar complex and use of reverse pressure softening would help the
latch. Not sure at this later date it is an issue.
When you said, "With OA he doesn't extend the tongue over the gum .. I told
that to the mother but told her that perhaps it could be for the bottle too"
I'm not sure what you meant, are you talking about overactive letdown.
Sometimes tongue tie corrections need some time to have the baby learn to
latch and unlearn former latching and sucking patterns.
So perhaps give it more time, skin to skin and the like, and maybe try a
nipple shield.? Not sure how it would be with those doctors but I think it
would be a bit uncomfortable to ask for it to be redone at this time.
