Here at Mothers’ Milk Bank Northeast, we are receiving an increasing number of calls and queries from new moms who are diagnosed with cancer, often breast cancer, in pregnancy and must enter treatments immediately after the baby is born. Because chemotherapy is contraindicated for breastfeeding, some moms pump and dump during treatments in the hopes of breastfeeding after treatments are over. This can sometimes be months.



We have heard about this often enough that I am wondering if there is good information and, even better, online support for these moms to help on another.



Any information would be most appreciated. Please email me personally (as well as to the group of others are interested in this topic), so I don’t miss any good information.
