The other issue I feel is very important to assess when looking donating something that may be used
for corporate "research" is that there is a fine line between "research" and "product development".
With confidentiality statements and other limitations on what outsiders are allowed to know about
corporate research - it is often impossible to independently evaluate whether or not that line has
been crossed. Again, I have never seen a company that develops products for breastfeeding or
human milk substitutes discuss the merits of their product development or product "research" on
Lactnet.
