I think it's a fine idea to invite physicians to a breakfast and then
publicly thank them for being supportive of breastfeeding just for eating a
free meal.

It's normal for physician's conferences to be held in lovely resort areas
with great golf courses.  I can't imagine a better way to entice a doctor to
hear about breastfeeding, than to feed them for free.  Sure, it's bribery,
but it works.  Doctors already supportive of breastfeeding might attend, even
if this workshop only covers the basics.  This will give the uncommited
physicians role models to look up to.  The hardcore "give than kid a bottle"
doctors won't show up at all.  You will attract physicians who want to know a
little more about breastfeeding.  This is the perfect situation.  What a
great teachable moment.  Inform them!

Good marketing for you and for them.  Everybody wins, including moms and
babies.
