A mom I've worked with asked me whether there is any risk to feeding her baby 
expressed milk she pumped during time of exposure to bleach used for power 
washing her building.  She said that she became dizzy about 2 hr after the 
powerwashing and eventually left the building. Her concern and question was whether 
her dizziness resulted from the fumes entering her bloodstream and thus could 
the chemicals be present in her milk?

I told her I felt it was unlikely that using her milk would be of concern for 
such a short term exposure and sent her some articles on environtmental 
contaminents (from kellymom site).  Anyone have past experience with something like 
this?  Dr Nice? I gave her Sandra Steingraber's name but these usually refer 
to PCB's etc and not one time exposure to a chemical.  Also is bleach a 
voaltile liquid? I found one article re these.  Thank you in advance.

On Thursday at work they  were powerwashing the outside of our building with 
bleach, and after about 2 hours I started to get really dizzy. Eventually I 
left and worked from another building, but I am unsure what to do with the milk 
I pumped while I was exposed to the bleach. It is about 8 oz, so I hate to 
throw it away, but I figure if the toxin was enough to make me dizzy, it most 
likely entered my bloodstream and therefore my breastmilk? What do you think?
