Kathe Catone's opinion that the baskets filled with chocolate did the trick
with her local docs' offices is corroborated by something I heard Jay
Gordon, M.D. say at a presentation last year.

The title of his talk was "Working With the Medical Profession." He got up,
announced the title, then said, "Two words: fruit baskets." In fact he
went on so much about fruit baskets that some folks in the audience got
annoyed and one harrumphed that if they had the right information, they
shouldn't have to bribe someone else to read it, but Jay kept insisting,
"Hey, this is life. Get with it. If it works, you'll be helping mothers
and babies." All in all it was pretty funny and I'll certainly never be
able to hear a discussion about breaking into the field without hearing him
say, "Fruit baskets." :D
