    When working with preemies and the first attempts at breast, I try to
relax the mother, have her do a thorough breast exam ( to help elicit a
letdown), and place baby skin.  ( also I make sure mom is very comfortable
with drink and footstool and praise her and the baby with every lick and
attempt made)
