I have a 1mos old baby in my practice whose newborn screen came back
positive for glutaric acidemia (either type 1 or type 2). Mom is nursing
exclusively and feeding frequently. Mom asked whether she needs to modify
her diet, and from genetics recommendations and my own research this did
not seem necessary, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any more
experience with this. Mom gave me permission to pass along this inquiry.

Thanks,
Christine Macken, MD, CLC
