Winnie posts on a new practice being introduced in the NICU at her
workplace, on the recommendation of a speech language pathologist who was
brought in by the NICU to write their feeding protocols.

I am trying, really trying, to figure out why an NICU in a hospital with
more than one IBCLC on staff, as well as a perinatal dietitian, would bring
in a speech language pathologist for this purpose.  I willingly admit to
knowing nothing about what background SLP's have, to equip them to treat
this kind of problem.  Please, someone, enlighten me.
