Is there a hospital with a nursing Care Plan for " Knowledge Deficit related to
breastfeeding" for NICU babies? I'm writing one in Spanish, but could sure use
some direction. This is the result of a discharge in which a mom who had been
pumping wonderfully and maintained a supply much larger than her baby's needs
was discharged without ever attaching baby to breast! As they wait so long to
put baby to breast here, I have a hard time following up on all moms... The
NICU Supervisor agreed that this education should be the responsibility of all
the nurses and not just the (part-time) LC.

Thanks In Advance
