Margaret says:
Here's the line that says it all: "Officials looked for items [to
eliminate] that would not harm patient care or safety."

Angry cynicism here....

So where is the focus on health and wellness? This is not health care. This
is sick care. If something goes wrong, they'll fix it. That brings in
money. If they spend money teaching wellness and preventive care, that cuts
the census and produces no income for the hospitals.

Someone's signature slogan says: "What you permit, you promote!" If the
hospitals permit the free and unlimited use of formula, they promote the
lack of wellness and outright illness that results. Ah HAH! More money for
the hospital as they tend to sick care rehospitalized babies with jaundice,
dehydration, FTT, diarrhea, constipation, blood in stools, RSV.... not to
mention the moms who 'need' biopsies for that rock-hard lump that just
surely is cancer, or ER care for an abscess, or fever of unknown origin....

So how DO they get these free or low-cost Symphonies for their mothers? Can
ANY pump depot get the same deal? If now, why not? Are these Symphonies for
their NICU moms or for all their moms? How much do they charge for rentals?
Sounds like another "quick-fix" solution: 1) feed formula, and 2) pump the
milk and bottle feed it. Not much training needed for that. And that leads
to dozens or hundreds of mothers who are convinced again that women
nowadays just can't BF like their grammas did.

OK. I'll shut up now.
