Does anyone have data regarding professional liability when kits from one
company are used on another company's pump?

An area hospital uses "A.." pumps in the NICU and "M.." on the mother/baby
unit. I won't go into the "whys" of this situation.

At times, one kit ends up on another pump--usually after discharge, and
often because if availability issues. Questions have been raised regarding
liability--and I am trying to determine if there is any actual risk for
either mother or baby, or is the basis of this really competition between
two companies who would prefer exclusive use of one company's product.

I must admit that I am guilty of not using my car manufacturer's brand of
oil filters in my car at all times--and the dealer did warn me that it could
effect my warrenty....I'm happy to report that I have 135,000 miles so far.

Thank you the help.
