A group mom and good friend called yesterday. Baby is about two months old
and mom has just been through her second course of antibiotics for either
UTI or pelvic infection. They are also planning to leave for Santa
Barbara, CA for her husbands sabbatical. The MD suspects she picked up the
infection while in the hospital for the birth. They haven't cultured her
urine, just used a dipstick for diagnosis.

Her concern is getting rid of the infection and continuing to breastfeed
her baby. I've offered to lend her my copy of Medications and Mother's
Milk for her next visit to the doctor.

Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated. Oh, yeah. This is her
second child and breastfeeding is going well.

TIA
