Has anyone checked mom's milk for blood? Have her HAND express on to the test
medium and see what happens. Mom may have some slight bleeding from the nipple
related to compression that is not present with pumping. It's a long shot but
worth a try.
The other thing is to have mom pump for a bit before breastfeeding so the
volume of foremilk is reduced--I assume that is what the ped meant by <<"large
volume of milk baby gets at breast">>
Wouldn't ABM cause more occult bleeding in a baby who is already having blood
in the stool?
