Color me confused.
How can co-sleeping ever be blamed for SIDS?
SIDS is the sudden and *Unexplained* death of an infant aged one month to
one year. If it's a co-sleeping death due to overlaying, unsafe co-sleeping
practices, etc, then its not an *unexplained death an therefore can't be SIDS.

I'm looking for a reference for the following. Can anyone help me out?
"In 2001 2,236 infants died from SIDS in the USA and 64 of these babies
were bedsharing with their parents."

What struck me was that that means 2172 infants died of SIDS who were NOT
bedsharing. Now which practice seems more dangerous????
