Hi Peg,

While I agree with Pat, that clicking is sometimes the result of
thrush..... I have seen cases in which a mom makes to to six weeks or so
before she loses her supply to poor sucking that has been there all
along. I think it's just that, for some women, the supply and demand
mode of production doesn't fully take over til then.

I'd do a thorough exam of the palate. Could there be a soft cleft that
was missed? A high, arched, or ridged palate? It there a tight frenum?
Was there a lot of suctioning following birth? Any reason you know of
why this babe doesn't trust opening his throat?

If you can find something difinitive you'll be able to proceed from
there. If not, I agree that CST sometimes helps as does chiropractic
adjustment.
