Just heard on the news! Congrats Texas! 8 babies born to a Nigerian mom in
Houston, Texas, after IVF, one vaginally at 25 weeks gestation, seven by
C/Sec today at 27 weeks. Babies reported to weigh between 300g - 500g. The
paediatrician looking after the babies was interviewed on the radio. Mom is
in "guarded" condition at St Luke's, the babies are in the children's
hospital next door. One is breathing by himself, three on vent, all
receiving IV nutrition.
Sending good thoughts to those little ones and their mom, and hoping they
make it, and of course that mom is going to be helped to provide her own
milk. Perhaps Texan Lactnetters can let us know more.
