I recently received a call from a Mom who said she had Psoriasis on her
nipples. The only reference I found so far was from a picture in the new
"Breastfeeding and Human Lactation" book. Is anyone familiar with the
successful treatment of Psoriasis on the nipples? Thank you for any help or
resources you may suggest. I have an update on the mom I posted about who
had PIH, seizures, 2 strokes, and excess drainage of spinal fluid from the
head. She continued to pump and after about a week was successful in
getting her Dr. to change her medication from Trandate to Inderal (thanks to
Dr. Hale's reference) so that the Neonatologist agreed to allow the baby to
nurse directly. Both mom and baby are home now doing well.
