By all means, of course feed the baby first. That usually soothes the
baby and that's the end of the story. >>

Excellent clarification, Harvey. Feed, THEN "S."

For further advice parents can refer to my two new books ("Listening To Your
Baby" and "Good Nights" Parents' Guide to a Good Night's Sleep in the Family
Bed") any of Bill and Martha's wonderful books, Dr. McKenna's books, and more.

I have found that if you turn "The Baby Whisperer" upside down and use it
that way it can also serve parents' needs or can be used as a lovely
paperweight.

I would love to start a HUGE controversy about my two books (have I mentioned
their names yet?) because they are not best sellers by any means and I would
like them discussed in 300 Lactnet Digests in a row. I cannot imagine a
nicer Christmas present than either or BOTH of my books. Even people who have
no babies (or dislike babies) will enjoy these books. "Listening To Your
Baby" is an "attachment parenting" which guides parents month by month
through the first year of life as if they were getting checkups in a
BF/AP/family bed pediatrician's office. It is wildly controversial and
deserving a crossfire and even opprobrium here on Lactnet. "Good Nights"
seems to weirdly advocate sleeping and cuddling your baby for months and
years. It is a wild departure from the norm and should probably be
scrutinized, criticized and even skewered by list members. OK?

Happy Holidays!!!

Jay Gordon, MD, FAAP, IBCLC

P.S. Dr. Greene, I would like to mention just one more time how sleazy your
DHA formula video. Please respond.
