I just happened to be reading the Searses new book, _The Breastfeeding
Book_. There's a nice section on nursing the adopted baby. On p. 211, he
refers to "a 1994 study" (sorry, no references) in which "the majority of
adoptive mothers were able to lactate with the following medical regimen:
one injection of 100 milligrams of Depo-provera one week before beginning to
induce lactation, hollowed one week later by 10 milligrams of metoclopramide
four times a day taken orally until they made enough milk."

Just one data point -- I'm sure others here will have different ideas.
