Hi Chayn,
here I think there are several MD more expert than me.
I had several years ago a mother that told me something similar and now I'm 
thinking at it and worried.
The baby of this mother immediately after the birth, vomited bile (a 
strange, almost green liquid).. she was a nurse so immediately understood 
something was wrong and asked for help... but in the hospital noone listened 
to her. Only at day 3, pediatricians understood that the situation was 
unclear and discovered the baby had a volvulus of the small intestine.
The small intestine was already in necrosis and the baby had an urgent 
operation but her health condition were critical for many many weeks.
I sincerely hope this baby 'is not' the same, but I 'd urge the mother to 
ask for another medical opinion
