By this time, she was no longer breastfeeding, and it IS sad that the
implication is that she was probably smoking pot when she was.

It seems to me it could well have more to do with her current mood level,
self medication as many people have been known to do with alcohol and/or
drugs, and hunger for at least SOME kind of support within her age/peer
group/financial means.

Consider the terribly depressing psychological toll of the entire
experience of the BrF struggle, the unresolved grief of having lost her
baby, the lack of family and HCP support struggle, the medicaid struggle,
the judgemental shame-based criticism and publicity and the whole
multiple trial and appeal process stress, not to mention the judge who
apparently just couldn't leave off the suspension without the vindictive
dig of suggesting she speak to mothers about the pitfalls of
breastfeeding.

If this mother can benefit from counseling to climb out of the "victim"
category into the "survivor" category, she could have a very powerful and
influential last word . This publicity might well backfire by creating
hunger for more info.  By speaking/writing about her experiences, perhaps
she could work out her feelings and find a way to transform her loss into
a memorial.

Her personal story might open the eyes of  a much wider audience as she
comes into her own with maturity and the support and prayers of people
who think she was Hi-tech-lynched or crucified in this matter!
