I was reviewing the Ezzo tapes at a Crisis Pregnancy Center where I
volunteer. Pretty scary stuff. The center upon my recommendation wants to
get rid of them, but I didn't know of a parenting series that is geared
toward this type of client: unmarried and young. Any suggestions?
Also, I had a conversation with some of the volunteers. The largest Baptist
Church in Albuquerqe has discontinued these parenting classes because the
pastor thought people were getting too rigid. One of the counselors said
that they were encouraged to ask questions in class and to use discernment
when using these principles, but many were saying things like "If you don't
do it this way then you are not being a Christian." So, the pastor said
this is "nuts" and got rid of all of the classes. Hooray!
