I had to wean my baby when he was a year old because I was suddenly having
episodes of partial blindness followed by a severe headache.  I had never had
headaches in the past.  The specialist I saw said my symptoms were caused by
hormone changes.  He was concerned that I would rupture my retina.  As soon as
I weaned the baby the symptoms stopped.  I also had a history of blurry vision
on birth control pills.
