I usually advise patches. The medication going into Mom via the patch is actually much less than baby has been getting during the pregnancy. The oxtocin that Mom gets while breastfeeding will also help by calming her down.

month. I would like to be proactive, and have a "list" of most accepted, 
least accepted, to present to the OB/GYN's and the pediatricians, so that 
breastfeeding will not be "sacrificed" when these meds are being ordered to 
inpatients and those might be seeking treatment during pregnancy. Even 
though Hale has information listed, it will probably be up to use to 
disseminate this information. I am currently working with our pharmacy as 
well to gather this info.

If any of you have already gone through something like this, as I know this 
initiative seems to be slowly sweeping the country, please e-mail me 
privately if you wish.
