Ann: I asked questions along the same lines a few weeks ago here on
Lactnet, I was redoing our breastfeeding policy where I work, from
the information that I gathered, it is recommended that milk used on
NICU babies be used, frozen or wasted in 24 hours, but for the
healthy term newborn the average time I found to save it in the
refrigerator is 72 hours.  I do agree with you that they should be
feeding these babies the freshly pumped milk... these NICU babies
need the immunities in it more that any other babies..........
