Getting braver in Boca, just read a post about not being able to
handle wearing two hats...and am
compelled to respond.  Having implanted both feets deeply in LL roots,
 wherein my soul cometh,
I led mtgs and did Priv LC Practice simultaneously.  For many years I
felt the success..albeit..that
came with being all things to all in search of lactation info, prided
myself on the current material
I presented and status of my knowledge.  I remember complaining to
Linda Kutner, sometime in
1993 or so, about a client who came to my LL mtg. not knowing I did
both, (she came in late and
had a fuspot w/her and she missed my intro/both hats/senerio I canned
for mtgs.  She demanded
hands on assistance at a L mtg, professing she had PAID for me.  I
was so torn, had been exposed
to this conflict previously related to some phone/lll/referrals and
ultimately determined with some
new business endeavors, I would not continue to do both.  For me-the
conflict became so uncom-
fortable, and I do try very earnestly to be professional and
forthright.  Cooincidently, this was the
year I complained about weaning my six year old from visiting the
family bed every nite, and
literally kicking me out of it.  He had not nursed in years, but
loved to be between his father and
I.  Linda gave me such good advice, and it worked.  We bribed him--
yep money was the motive to
ultimately separate us.  Would like further comments...Donna Corrieri
