Apologies for conflating novel oils/DHA/ARA supplements and
lactobacilli/oligosaccharides supplements in previous post!

(and thanks to those who emailed and pointed it out.)

I had, in fact, realised I'd done it. There is a little bell that goes
off when I do something classically dyslexic like this, and says "That's
wrong, you know". The little bell went off, and I realised I'd jumped
from one to the other, and then I went back and corrected something, and
the bell switched off. Unfortunately, the bit I corrected wasn't that
bit! If this makes no sense to you... welcome to my brain.

The conflating factor, and the point I was trying to make was... as
formula marketing and promotion are banned in the UK, there has been a
relentless assault on two fronts in order to 'raise' formula profiles.

One, has been the overwhelming switch to marketing and promotion of
'follow-on' milk. The other has been the relentless marketing and
promotion of ingredients in follow-on milk, that are also in formula,
that are 'like breastmilk'. So you promote the ingredient, and not the
formula that contains it. This gets you round not being able to promote
formula.

For if you advertise and promote 'immunofortis' and 'life'sDHA',
separately, you are not breaking Code. And the UK allowing 'follow-on'
milk promotion allows this to happen in a way that directly links to
formula. (It's truly sickening, how skilled they've got at this).

Hence Martek relentless promoting 'life'sDHA' via midwife sponsorship

http://www.midwivesonline.com/index.php (www.dhababy.com),

and Aptamil relentlessly promoting 'immunofortis' at the moment, in the
UK. The Aptamil 'follow-on' ad is particularly loathsome, as it has a
zingy energy protection ring around the child being bottled fed the
'follow-on' milk containing 'immunofortis'.

So, once more, apologies. And no, Martek don't make 'immunofortis'!
That's Nutrica/Danone. (Aptamil is also Danone)

I hope I've explained how I came to conflate them so. My dyslexia
addled brain tissue really could have done with some real milk all those
years ago (and, perhaps, it'd've been better if my biological mother
hadn't been anorexic/bulimic to boot! Some fish oils during the
pregnancy wouldn't have done any harm either!.) :-)
