My collegue, a homebirth midwife also, attends breech homebirth regularly. Recently she attended a known breech birth, and on full dilation did a VE (for whatever the reason was) and confirmed a little bottom. When the woman was pushy she started saying that she could feel the baby moving. Well the baby did a great big summersault and came out head first a few contractions later! So even at the last minute babes can turn in labour.

Breech is just another position to birth in, though I would honestly freebirth (unassisted birth) myself before I would in the hospital system with a known breech. There are far too many dangerous policies to allow safe birth of a breech.

As for turning a breech, I don't think one way is better than another. It depends largely on the baby and why it's breech in the first place and what psycological factors are at play in the mother. It is probably a trial and error thing.

Blessings,
Rxx
