So are you saying that data collected by the NIS on excl 
breastfeeding is potentially meaningless? That data may be entered 
describing a mother as 'exclusively breastfeeding' because there is 
no 'slot' on the data collection to differentiate her breastfeeding 
from any other form of breastfeeding eg partial?

Well, yes - data should be collected independently of the formula 
manufacturers, but it is not a step forward if the data cannot be 
trusted, and in fact should be mistrusted....if I have understood you 
correctly.
