Renee,

While I am not sure about the rules which govern announcing your IBCLC
student status, I do know that it probably prohibited for the same reason
LLL does not allow Leader Applicants to identify themselves as such outside
of a group of all LLL Leaders.  The concern is that people will assume that
the woman speaks for the organization when she doesn't neccesarily have the
knowledge to do so and may not ever acquire the actual title (ie. IBCLC or
LLL Leader).

As for your experiences in trying to become a Leader, I appreciate that it
has been a difficult experience for you but hate to see LLL internal
politics aired on a non-LLL board.
