non-cow's-milk-based  vehicle.

I understand that is the crux of the issue:  human milk fortifiers that are
widely available come from formula manufacturers, often made from a cow's
milk base.  One for-profit commercial venture in the USA *is* doing research
on making and selling human milk fortifer from (doh) human milk ... but it
is not widely avaialbe, is massively expensive if you can get it, and --
this one just to drive you nuts -- they are commerically and financially
aligned with a formula manufacturer.  See
