In February 1997 I attended the Symposium on the Utilization of Epidurals
in Normal Obstetrics in Washington DC as a consumer advocate and mentioned
this on Lactnet, with lots of requests for further information ensuing.

Diony Young, editor of the BIRTH Journal, attended the Symposium too and
has written an Editorial on 'Epidurals under scrutiny in the US' in the
current issue, that's 24(3) September 1997.  This is an excellent summary
of the meeting for those who wanted more information.
