Listmates,
I volunteered to write a four part series on breastfeeding for the local
newspaper. I'd say that the community is fairly uniformed about this topic,
and the medical practices vary widely. I'd be grateful for suggestions of
topics for each article. Here's my thoughts so far:
#1 - Start with that quote, "what if there were a substance...", and then
progress to cover the amazing benefits of breastfeeding.
#2 - Use the AAP recommendations as a guide for how breastfeeding should be
started and handled in the hospital.
#3 - Controversies and ethical issues - Formula issues, guilt, maybe touch
on Baby Friendly Hospitals
#4 - Economics and benefits to society -
    Suggestions? Thanks is advance!
