Yes, the three year old could very well be taking the calves out to pasture
at dawn and coming back mid-morning to nurse.  Or spending the morning
chasing crows out of the millet field, and coming back to nurse.  Or going
to the market to bargain for tomatoes, and coming back to nurse.  You'd be
truly amazed at what children in other cultures do at ages where ours are
learning their ABC's and learning how to color in the lines.
