Like anything else, there are advantages each of us brings to our practice.
There are times when I think understanding the system is an asset in helping
women.  Also, I have picked up other problems and worked with them because of
my nursing experience.  I think it really helps me when working with staff
that I truly understand their workload.  Non-nurses have certain freedoms
that I don't.
