I am a lactation professional who is due to have baby #3 any day now. I had
planned c-section with #1 due to breech position, and was induced at 9 days
post due with #2 with a successful VBAC delivery. Now I am 2 cm, no
effacement, and some mild pre-labor symptoms with a due date of 4/26. My
colleague, an experienced lactation consultant, says she has heard about
using the breast pump to induce labor; that it works as well, if not better
than pitocin. I would like to try this, but need more information to give
my OB/GYN. Does anyone have an article or source about this? Please send
to my email address as soon as possible. Thank you.
