A few years back we had a mom in our nursing mothers group who was nursing
one twin and formula feeding the other. We were just very impressed with
her ability to deal with her twins as seperate individuals who had different
styles and needs. And told her so as much as we could. liken it to the
mother who bottlefeeds the first baby and then breastfeeds the next.
Doesn't mean you love one more. You just do what you need to do at the time
to stay sane. I would commend this mom for not bottlefeeding both just
because one wouldn't/couldn't nurse. I guarantee there will be other times
in her mothering experience when she will not be able to give these babies
equal whatever because they're needs will be different.
Just a thought
