Hi
The Australian Government has just announced that it will hold an inquiry
into breastfeeding. Included in the terms of reference are recommendations
for breastfeeding promotion strategies. It would be really helpful if
someone who was involved with the recent USHHS breastfeeding promotion
campaign could submit some evidence about what was done in the US, why that
strategy was used and how it went. It will also examine effects of
advertising on bf rates. It would be great if someone who is familiar with
the situation in the Philippines could write to tell them of what is going
on there at the moment. If you have a research interest in epidemiology and
breastfeeding your evidence would be appreciated too.
The closing date for submissions in 28th Feb.
If you are in Australia, please make a submission and encourage mothers you
know to make submissions about their experiences of the health system while
learning to breastfeed.

For a copy of the terms of reference and further information on making a
submission: contact the Committee secretariat on

Or I Can send you a copy of the Terms
