It is rather disheatening to hear this.  I spoke to the CDC myself on January
19, and as of that date they assured me that they were NOT concerned about
the vaccinia being transferred by the milk itself; their only concern was
about the close physical contact of mom and baby and specifically mentioned
to me the fact that a mother would be free to pump and have another
bottle-feed her milk.

The fact that there are conflicting reports concerns me.
