Dear Friends:
Interesting to see that human milk is deficient in Vit. K, iron, and Vit.
D. How could the human race have survived without vitamin and mineral
supplements? what about the water-soluable Vit K in milk? And the fact that
all the iron in human milk is bioavailable, unlike that in breastmilk
substitutes?
And what about the lack of exposure to sunlight that babies might lack as
a result of mothers being at work, so the only outside light babies receive
is going from the house to the car and back again?
Interesting point about the pollution, though.
    Warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, MSN, Mother of 2, IBCLC, CIMI
