Our dentist and  dental hygienist have told us that this most likely has
something to do with some occurrence during fetal development, and can be
corrected with cosmetic dental treatment when she is a little bit older
(after she finishes orthodontic treatment).
So, I wonder if this could be the same kind of thing.

In any case, it doesn't sound like this could possibly have anything to do
with breastfeeding.
