When I looked at the ad, it didn't jump out at me that the woman was
breastfeeding. In fact, I do think it's rather ambiguous -- If the ad
showed even a teeny bit of skin, everyone would know for sure. The fact
that it is so ambiguous makes me more irritated than happy at the
possibility that this ad could be showing a nursing couple.

A few moms emailed the co. to thank them, and one got this response:

"Hello Heather,

Thank you for your sending us your comments.

The picture on the website is actually of a mother holding her child, =
and was not intended to portray a mother breast-feeding her baby.
However, we do appreciate that you have taken the time to share your =
comments with us, as we value your opinion.

Best Regards,
Hannah V.
IKEA Customer Care Center"

We have all concluded that "Hannah" from Customer Care, doesn't have a =
clue about bfing, and that the baby is definately bfing.

And yes, there was an incident at an Ikea store in California last year, =
a mom was walking around nursing baby in a sling, and was asked to leave =
by a floor employee. I can't remember what the outcome was, the mom =
complained to a lot of the online bfing community about it, and wanted a =
letter-writing campaign. I think she did receive an apology, though.
